NSCC as a Pillar of Peace
The New Sudan Council of Churches (NSCC) has stood firm as a symbol of hope and peace in the Nuba Mountains, where conflict and division have deeply scarred communities. At a time when war left many without homes, families, and security, the NSCC became a trusted institution where people could gather, reconcile, and begin rebuilding broken relationships. Its message of forgiveness and peaceful coexistence continues to inspire those longing for stability and unity.
One of the greatest strengths of the NSCC lies in its ability to bring people together across tribal, ethnic, and political divides. Through dialogue and mediation, it creates spaces where communities can confront their differences, heal past wounds, and work toward a shared future. By teaching the values of reconciliation and understanding, the council fosters an environment where peace is not just the absence of war but the presence of justice, love, and harmony.
Healing Communities in Conflict
The New Sudan Council of Churches (NSCC) has played a vital role in healing war-torn communities in the Nuba Mountains and beyond. For families that have endured displacement, loss, and violence, the council has offered a source of comfort and renewal. Its programs focus not only on material support such as food, education, and shelter but also on emotional and spiritual healing, recognizing that recovery must touch both body and soul.
Trauma healing is at the heart of this mission. The NSCC provides safe spaces where survivors can share their stories, release pain, and begin the process of reconciliation. By equipping local leaders with skills in counseling and peacebuilding, the council ensures that communities have the tools they need to continue healing from within. This work helps transform pain into resilience, restoring dignity to those who have suffered the most.
A Voice for Justice and Faith
The New Sudan Council of Churches (NSCC) has established itself as a strong advocate for justice in the midst of conflict and oppression. In regions where people have long been silenced or marginalized, the council raises their voices, ensuring that the struggles of the vulnerable are not ignored. Rooted in its Christian mission, the NSCC continues to speak truth to power while offering hope to communities in need.
By partnering with both local leaders and international organizations, the NSCC amplifies the voices of those who often go unheard. Its advocacy focuses on protecting human rights, promoting equality, and ensuring that communities are treated with dignity. The council also emphasizes the role of faith as a unifying force, reminding people that justice must be grounded in moral values and compassion.

within these auspices that the organization's core mission is making discipleship
and bringing the Good News to the people.
While doing so,
it also reaches out to the physical needs of these vulnerable people. It rehabilitates
and prepares these people to become reliable and depend on themselves in the
future.
The organization
focuses on empowering women and supporting the needy children, victims of war,
pastoral and civil leadership, and the youth. Its primary areas of operation are
the Nuba Mountains, Darfur, Blue Nile, and South Sudan.
These are the
regions that have been affected by recurrent wars in Sudan. Consequently, a
huge number of the populations in those areas have been affected adversely.
